The single bed in my room was archaic, springs digging in awkwardly, leading to a rough night's sleep and lingering back pain. The family room's view was limited to a car park, lacking any charm. A suggestion for hallway lights being on a sensor could save energy and enhance the experience, as having them on all night feels excessive.

We had a proper top-notch stay! Eric was a gem, helping with recommendations and serving a brekkie that was a tasty treat! The spot was spotlessly clean, comfy, and close to town. Just wish the wifi was a bit stronger, yeah?

the whole experience was enjoyable, no reason to complain, strongly recommend. everything at this petite hotel was perfect as we expected. the location was absolutely perfect, at a moderate distance from orkney wireless museum. moreover, it's close to kirkwall, the island and the orkney. great-sized room and the bed was comfy. the staff was really helpful and always on disposal.

What they won't tell you about this
You'll be enchanted by the generous breakfast options. There's even haggis for the adventurous palate! The host goes above and beyond to ensure your experience is cute and comfortable- above expectations!
Some rooms lack a view, with certain aspects feeling less appealing than others. A more robust wifi connection would enhance the overall experience.

The room I got had the most ancient bed, springs was like pokes from a porcupine. I told them about it, but no discount, just future promises. My view? A privative car park. I was practically begging for a welcome treat but alas, no one seemed to care. Absolutely unacceptable for such a so-called 'guesthouse'.

Had a really great time at royal oak guesthouse! The host, eric, was suuuper friendly and helped us with all sorts of tips for the area. Breakfast was delish with lots of options, especially loved the haggis! The kitchen and lounge area had amazing views and was perfect. The place was super clean and comfy. Parking was easy peasy.
wifi could use a lil boost, and it was a bit far from the town center for some folks.

The room offered really good cleanliness. Highlights included the wonderful guava jam at breakfast, complementing the hearty meal options. The single bed's outdated mattress made for an uncomfortable night, coupled with a lack of significant views from the room. The owner mentioned ongoing updates, but immediate solutions or discounts for this inconvenience could have enhanced the experience.
